Tamara Holliday, DDS
Dr. Tammy Holliday built her practice around a question most dentists never ask: why is this happening?
Not what to fix. Why it started. That distinction is everything.
Raised in Hawaii on the Island of Oahu, she came to Seattle in 2001 with a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology from Brandeis University and a background in biotech research. The science fit her mind, but working at a distance from people didn't fit her nature. It was volunteer work alongside dentists serving Seattle's unhoused community that showed her what she was actually looking for: the chance to look someone in the eye and change something real. She enrolled in dental school and never looked back.
She earned her doctorate from the University of Washington School of Dentistry and founded Holliday Dental Wellness. What shaped her approach most wasn't school. It was her own health.
For years, Dr. Tammy was health-conscious, doing everything right, and still exhausted. It took questioning everything she thought she knew about food, inflammation, sleep, and airway health to finally turn it around. She knows what it feels like to do everything right and still feel wrong, and she knows what it takes to come back. That journey didn't just change her health. It changed the way she practices dentistry.
At Holliday Dental Wellness, Dr. Tammy and her team work with patients who are ready to think differently about their health. The practice offers biological, cosmetic, airway, and laser dentistry, and every material, every technique, every recommendation is personalized to you because your mouth is as individual as your biology. The approach goes deeper than the mouth. Inflammation, hormones, sleep, nutrition, stress: they all show up in your oral health before they show up anywhere else. Dr. Tammy is trained to see those signals and help you understand what they mean. That same attention to detail shapes her approach to cosmetic dentistry, where the focus is on non-invasive bonding and digital smile design that is both beautiful and biologically sound.
Dr. Tammy is committed to staying at the leading edge of her field, pursuing extensive continuing education and advanced training in biological, airway, and cosmetic dentistry. Because every patient deserves a guide who never stops learning.
Outside the practice, she's strength training, playing tennis, cooking, and traveling the world with her family. Hawaii will always hold a special place in her heart, and she returns as often as she can to be with her ohana. She lives in Seattle with her husband, twin daughters, and two very loved dogs.
Been here for years, staff is super friendly and very polite. If you are not a big fan of dentist, these people will help put you at ease! They really listen to you if you start to feel uncomfortable in anyway! Still go there for all teeth needs!
